How did you get to creating your Instagram account?

I started with my Instagram about four years ago. Back then I was using the app basically just for the editing of the photos for my articles and book reviews.

How does it look like "behind the scene"?

When I look at the Instagram accounts of some fashion and lifestyle bloggers, they seem to be super planned and organized. I do not do this. My Instagram reflects a certain part of my reading-working reality. It shows what I currently read and what I think about it. But mainly, I try to share photos so they can inspire other people. I definitely do not regard my Instagram profile as an elaborated and planed hobby. Furthermore, I believe that a certain level of bohemian attitude belongs to the world of books, so I do not pay so much attention to perfection.

Can you predict which photo will get more likes?

Of course that it depends when you release your photo. But the biggest difference makes a presence of the actual, real person. Followers prefer a living human being rather than a bunch of latté art photos.

Do you own all the books you post on Instagram?

I definitely read all of the books I put on my Instagram. And, yes, in some way I own all of them. But quite often, once I am done with reading them, I pass them to my work colleagues, friends or bloggers. Moreover, I usually read the newly published books, hence I co-work with publishers. And of course that the second-hand bookshops are my long-time love!

In the last couple of years, I have been reading about two hundred books per year.

What is your favourite book?

I do not sort the books I have read into the categorizes such as "favourite" or "do not like". I would rather say that certain books are more important to me in different stages of my life. One of them is, for example, Agnes by Swiss author Peter Stamm.

Do you take all the photos by yourself or does someone help you with them?

I usually take the photos with my friend and colleague Jana Benesova, who has a sense for detail and certain sophistication. We even got used to the fact that taking photos in public can make us look like some weirdos.

What is on your reading list right now?

I am about to read a satiric novel Doppler by Erlend Loe, a collection of poems Ariel by Sylvia Plath. And I cannot wait to read the book Americana by famous feminist writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
